The vision of the East Texas A&M University Percussion Program is EMPOWERING EXCELLENCE, with a mission to explore and unleash the potential of every student through percussion performance, education, and research.

The ETAMU Percussion Ensembles have performed at state and international conventions, including the Percussive Arts Society International Conventions (PASIC), Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), and College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA). The group was one of three winners for the 2026, 2023, 2010, and 2000 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition, and Runner-Up in 2015, 2016, and 2018. They have recorded four CD’s: “Cascading Reflection”, “Epic Proportions”, “New and Unknown Works of Minoru Miki”, and “Phage.”

The East Texas A&M University Percussion Ensemble was one of the three winners of the 2023 Percussive Arts Society International Competition. This album features works performed on their Showcase Concert at the
Percussive Arts Society International Convention, as well as live performances from their winning recording
submission.
