Fabio Bartoloni

Fabio Bartoloni has a DMA in Guitar Performance from Arizona State University, working as Professor Frank Koonce's TA. He was a recipient of the Richard and Babette Burns scholarship and was chosen Outstanding Graduate. Obtaining a MM degree from Sao Paulo State University, Fabio has performed in many world cities: London, Paris, Cambridge, Laon, Darmstadt, Mannheim, La Paz, Sao Paulo, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Rio de Janeiro, among others. He performs both as a soloist and as part of chamber music groups such as Duo Lucatelle-Bartoloni (collaborating with his wife Daniela Lucatelle as pianist), Duo Bartoloni (guitar duo with his father Giacomo Bartoloni), and Tau Guitar Quartet. As a member of these groups, his discography includes several acclaimed albums such as “Sonatas & Fantasias”, “Brasileiro”, “Cordas Brasileiras” and “5 por 2”. His first solo album, “Retratos, Sonatas e Canções”, features the first commercial recordings of works by Brazilian composers Giacomo Bartoloni, João Luiz (Brasil Guitar Duo), and Daniel Murray. Recently, Fabio lectured about his research on Villa-Lobos’ works and the repertoire for guitar and piano duo at important events, such as the Guitar Foundation of America Convention at the University of Miami and the XXX National Association for Graduate Studies Congress (ANPPOM) at Federal University of Amazonas. Currently, he holds a Guitar Professorship at the University of the State of Amapá, in Brazil.
